Bye bye TGS

Sunday, September 23rd

This day was reserved for TGS again, so there's not that much to tell here, we went there very early to be there at round about 10:00, we arrived at 10:15 at the messe, it was raining the whole day so I had my umbrella with, they borrowed some of the hostel.

After getting into the hall we started in hall 4, I wanted to show them Monster Hunter 4, but when we arrived at the booth at 10:20 there were no waiting tickets left until 5:00PM and the end of the messe, very dissapointing, even as presse there was no chance to try it, they said, for presse there is the Thursday and the Friday and I felt like being punched, he said something like: “Therefore the press day exists..., you can't play today.“ - Imagine you can't come earlier than Saturday because of appointments or whatever, you're just like an ordenary visitor, because of a missing business presentation area like there was one at Games Convention and is one at GamesCom. At the other booths it was the same, no chance to play or no allowence to take any photos of the screens and no possibility to save time being a press member, one had to get in line like all the others and when there were waiting tickets given to the visiters, then all of them were already out, so our only aim were the cosplayers.

The cosplayers have a good average quality, if these ones were „high rank“ cosplayers, then German elites are on the same level, but if there ones were “only“ average cosplayers, then their average level is higher than the German one. In the following pics some impressions of them, mostly Monster Hunter Cosplayers were my target. In Japan it's polite to tell them why you're taking this photos and what for and it's also polite to give them your business card after a shot and almost everyone has one's own cards and gives it to you.

The TGS ended at 5:00PM, so after the messe we went to Akiba, I showed them the Mandarake, K-Books, the Bookoff and the Yodobashi Akiba and ate Ramen at the Chabuton. Then we went back, my friends were very impressed by Akihabara.

TGS is over now and on Monday it's time for Akiba again for them to get all the things that were left.
