Shikoku - Cherry Blossom

Once again we've reached the next chapter. After working on Shuri on Okinawa I went over to Kyushu's Kokura and Karatsu Castle close to Fukuoka followed by Okayama.

Kyushu and Okayama is finished now, so it's time to return to April of 2017, when I was on a pilgrimage to 88 temples on Shikoku during Cherry blossum season, I only finished ~30, due to a leg injury my journey ended in Kochi forcing me to return back to Osaka. On my way back I went via Uwajima und Matsuyama before finally arriving at the bus station back to Osaka.

Therefore Kochi, Uwajima and Matsuyama castle on Shikoku are my current chapters to work on, here's a small teaser, enjoy and join my followers for my upcoming Kickstarter project 日本の城 - Japanese Castles with 350+ pictures of Japanese castles on 280+ pages.

Next Chapter

Time for a new update on my Kickstarter campaign 日本の城 - "Japanese Castles ". After finishing Kiyosu Castle it was time for Shuri Castle in Naha on Okinawa. It's sad that I have only a few pictures of that fortress, especially because it burnt down last year. Beside a few pictures with almost the same angle and too many people walking by I only have pictures of hibiscus a some dragon statues.

After Okinawa I went North and assorted pictures of Karatsu Castle, which is also called crane castle.

Currently I am working on Okayama, which might be the most difficult, because beside Osaka I have the most pictures of that castle to choose from.

Enjoy and don't forget to follow and back my campaign when it will be launched.

Picture of the Day #12 - Hibiscus on Okinawa

When I've been on Okinawa and visited Shuri Castle, I just couldn't resist to take a picture of this beautiful hibiscus, I can't remember ever seeing any of those before in real life.

The entry of trip about Okinawa will follow soon, so this Picture of the Day is some sort of teaser

On INSTAGRAM there are already a few more, but for now, enjoy the Hibiscus:

Jungle of Okinawa - Picture of the Day #7

Today's Picture of the Day is in the middle of the jungle of Okinawa on my Way to Hiji Falls. Shortly after starting my way to the waterfall it started to rain. Some of the passages were a little bit difficult thanks to the rain and the thoughts that there were venomous snakes like pit vipers everywhere as well, luckily I didn't encounter any of them, because the next hospital might have been 50km... But normally when you encounter a snake they won't bite as long as you don't interact with them, because they are afraid of you, too.

Getting to the waterfall took 45+ minutes and it definitely is worth visiting it.
Find more e.g. the Waterfall itself on INSTAGRAM

But now enjoy the Jungle Picture:
