About Mii

I am Martin Andreas Arendt, aka Neko-Lord,
I have a great passion for video games and other japanese pop culture e.g. Manga, Anime, Artbooks Model Kits and everything that belongs to that.

Because of that I wanna share my passions with many people.


I'm playing video games since I was 6 starting with the Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past on SNES, it went on with TETRIS on my own first GAME BOY. Later Games like Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country or Star Wing, which I played with my father and my uncle, followed. At this time my part at this games was to earn many 1UPS so we had enought Lives when doing a gaming afternoon - at this Age my Skills were not so superior, but as a team of three we finished many games.


The first Game I bought myself was Donkey Kong for GAME BOY, because of the great experiences and fun we had with Donkey Kong Country. I stuck at this for almost 2 decades at world 7-7..., I gave up, when I was as a child, but finally finished it last year, when I opened my old GAME BOY Box \^o^/
The first Games I finished completely by myself were Kirby's Dreamland, The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past and the fantastic SECRET OF MANA, it was and is still just awesome and will be valued and honored with a separate entry. Games like SECRET OF EVERMORE or ILLUSION OF TIME/GAIA (PAL)/(JAP)

So I was branded by NINTENDO in my early Life allready - this passion was increased over and over for years, also with the help of the informative magazine CLUB NINTENDO, which I collected and loved.
It's sad, that this magazine doesn't exist anymore, but this gap was perfectly filled with GAMEPRO and N-ZONE.

My enthusiasm for Zelda later led to a kinda prop making of the Master Sword based on paper and adhesive foil, when I was 12 or 13. When I entered the Anime and Manga Scene and so the Cosplay Scene maybe this was one reason to do this.

My first Game on Sony's PLAYSTATION and also the reason to buy this console was Final Fantasy VII, which I first played doing a Video Game Night together with my uncle.
Many Games and Consoles followed until I had contact with the Anime and Manga DRAGON BALL, so my second big hobby was found.

My Gaming hobby had the result to be a promoter and moderator on several events like GameCom.
My Anime/Manga hobby hab the result to be a competition presenter on events like Animagic.
