[RePlay] MegaMan X - Playthrough #4 on Mega-Monday

Today on Mega-Monday we'll go on a hunt for Sting Chameleon.

His stage is a forest. You can get a new armor part there - the body armor part.
Sting Chameleon is quite annoying, when he's invincable and you only have a few frames to hit him, but you still can make it!

And here we go with the V1D3O:

See ya!

[Japan-Sunday] Advertising in Japan

My trip to Japan is coming closer and I'm totally excited.
Especially my upcoming pilgrimage on Shikoku to 88 temples will be very interesting.

But today we only look at some examples of Japanese ads, they are sometimes funny and / or very different to ads in other countries. I see game ads very rarely only, so I enjoy to see those everytime I'm there.

I have no idea what DOCOMO (mobile phone provider) is trying to tell us with this mushroom hats.

That's it for today's Japan-Sunday, see you tomorrow on Mega-Monday!

[RePlay] The Legend of Zelda a Link to the Past # 7 on [Retro-Saturday]

Time for some rubies and hearts again, today we're gathering some aside the main story of The Legend of Zelda a Link to the Past, so no dungeon today.

BUT!!!

I had some things on my "shopping list" and we got it all:
  • 4 pieces of Heart
  • Shovel
  • Flute
  • Magic Cape
  • Bombos Medaillon
  • Cane of Byrna
  • Ether Medaillon

The Magic Cape is only optional, but in my opinion it's a must have, because you become invisable and invincable, too. I normally use the cape for the 4th and 7th Boss and against Ganon (for Ganon you won't even need a fairy if you have 4 green potions)

This is the only medaillon, that is optional, I normally never use it

The Cane of Byrna is almost like the Magic Cape, but the energy ring that protects you can also damage your enemies - and as you can guess, it's also optional

You will need this medaillon to enter the 6th dungeon

And if you want to see LINK moving - HERE's the VIDEO:

That's all about my shopping list today, see You again tomorrow!

[Treasure-Thursday] The Legend of the Sword

Seiken Densetsu is the name of the series in Japan, in the Western world is known as the Mana Series.

The best known game of the series is SECRET OF MANA for SNES, but it's the 2nd part of the series - Seiken Densetsu 2 (JP) - the first part was Mystic Quest (Seiken Densetsu)
Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret of Mana 2) was never released outside of Japan (sadly)

Later games were Legend of Mana (OST on the picture) for Playstation, which also got a manga, Children of Mana, Dawn of Mana and some for mobile devices.

So here it is now, this weeks's treasure, a small part of my Seiken Densetsu Collection

Here are some pictures of the beginning of Secret of Mana - You start as a boy who accidently draws the legendary Mana Sword, which results in the appearance of monsters.

Mystic Quest is the first part the series, it was made for Game Boy - later this game got a huge REMAKE, Sword of Mana for Game Boy Advance, it's about 2 heros, who also somehow took part in Secret of Mana, but I won't tell how, that would be a massive spoiler, so here are some pictures of Sword of Mana:

That's it for today's treasure and asyou can guess, [RePlay] of this 2 games will follow soon, so just stay tuned, folks.
